EPOLAR / FIELD NOTES 03

Leave your handwriting on a photo

A name, a short line or a tiny drawing. The last mark on the paper can become as much a part of the memory as the photo itself.

Keep your handwriting in the signature library

Create a signature in epolar's signature library. Use a finger to write a name, a short message or a small doodle; iPad also supports Apple Pencil. Creating, editing and applying signatures uses epolar Pro access, as shown in the app.

Simple handwriting often stays clearer when scaled down on a photo. Save names and short messages separately, then choose one to suit each creation.

Add a signature to your photo

  1. Finish the photo first. Choose the paper, composition and colors before deciding how your handwriting fits.
  2. Choose a saved signature. Use a supported editing or add-signature option to select a mark from your library. Adjust it with the controls available on that screen.
  3. Check and save. Make sure the mark is clear and doesn't cover the subject. Save the creation and check the final image in your device's photo library.

Give the photo a quiet finishing touch

Treat a signature as a small note to the photo. A wider margin may suit a short sentence; a patterned paper may only need a name.

Choose a mark that contrasts with the background, and keep it away from busy textures. View the photo at a smaller size before saving to check that the handwriting remains readable.

Continue on another device

Sign in to the same epolar account with active Pro, enable cloud sync in the signature library, and use Sync Now when needed. Sync is off by default. Signing in or buying Pro does not automatically upload all local signatures.

Signatures currently sync within platform groups: iPhone and iPad together, Android devices together, and HarmonyOS devices together. These groups do not sync with each other. Signature sync does not back up your photos; save photo creations to your device's library.

For more account and sync help, see Accounts & signatures in Help & support.

Controls may vary by platform and version. Find current releases on the download page.
