Start with a photo you love

Open the photo import option in epolar and choose an image from your device's photo library. A clear subject with a little space around it gives you more freedom to compose within the paper frame.

Importing and editing happen on your device. Saving creates a new image and leaves your original photo untouched.

Choose a paper, then find the composition

1. Pick a frame. Start with Classic White or Matte Black for a simple look. Try solid colors, colorful borders or textured papers for a different mood.
2. Frame the subject. Keep the important details inside the photo window. Check faces, building edges and anything else you want to preserve.
3. Adjust the color and save. Choose a film-inspired look, then check the brightness of the whole image. Save a new creation to your device's library.

Pair the paper with the picture

Travel photos and landscapes often benefit from a little breathing room. A simple frame can help a colorful subject stand out; a solid-color border can echo a color already in the photo.

If the paper has a strong texture or pattern, keep the photo treatment gentle. Not every picture needs a heavy filter. Let the subject lead.

Free frames and material downloads

Classic White and Matte Black are free to shoot and save. Photo import, color and composition adjustments, and single or batch saving with free frames do not require sign-in. Other available member frames follow the epolar Pro access shown in the app.

A preview is different from a high-resolution material. When you choose a paper that isn't on your device yet, follow the download prompt. Buying Pro does not automatically download every paper. The app's current paper library shows what is available.
